ABOUT ME

Since graduating from Arizona State University in 2017, I've been pursuing my dream of becoming a play-by-play announcer. Along the way, I've benefited from the generosity of many industry professionals, worked diligently at my craft, sought out opportunities, and made the sacrifices I felt were necessary to get me here. Now, I'm ready for the next step.

EXPERIENCE
​
I have accumulated nearly 500 hours of on air, play by play experience. For two seasons (2018-2019, 2019-2020) I was an announcer for The University of Memphis Tigers Sports Network. During that time I served as a lead play-by-play broadcaster for several sports including Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Soccer, Women's Softball and The Women's Volleyball programs. Prior to that I was the lead announcer for the 49-game season of the Alexandria Aces Baseball Organization (2018) for the Cal Ripken Collegiate Summer League.

ON AIR INTERVIEWS
Every sportscaster dreams of interviewing a star player or the head coach before a crucial match-up or after a big game. I've conducted over 100 hours of NBA and NCAA related interviews. I do my homework prior to the interview and am prepared to ask the questions fans want answered. Links to many of the interviews I've conducted are available on this website.

PODCASTS
I'm very comfortable creating podcast content. In 2017, I created the "On Deck with Will Decker" podcast and have created over 100 hours of insightful material. Podcasting has allowed me to share my passion for sports and connect with other like-minded sports fans.
